It is dark and cold in the middle of January, but inside Bella Centret at the northmodern design fair it is warm! Northmodern opened the doors for the design industry for the 3rd time, and we were there to see all the hot news. At northmodern the best brands within the furniture industry, lifestyle and industrial design were presented, and among our brands represented this year were Strikaholic, New Works, Marset, Studio Italia Design, Paradisco Productions, Novel Cabinet Makers and Malle W. Trousseau.
Malle W. Trousseau, is Roomstore’s newest brand, who produces boxes with a variety of quality kithen supplies. These products were displayed and tested at a collaboration between BoxOne/Køkkensnedkeren who designed a transportable kitchen for the fair, and the Head Chef from Restaurant Rebel, Martin Hylleborg made delicious samples using the cooking utensils from Malle W. Trousseau.
The lectures this year focused a lot on the trends of the importance of nature, craftsmanship, ”Rediscovering” and ”Digital detox”. These trends were easy to observe, as more than half of the space at the fair was dedicated to ”Slow Living”.
We enjoyed getting out of the cold January weather and into the spirit of slow living, hot news and exciting trends. We look forward to the next northmodern fair.
On November 5th, we welcomed the Danish press into our charming showroom, which we had styled in five different colour zones with the latest products from our clients. The ’Go Color’-theme was inspired by the different colours and contrasts that that characterises the upcoming season for our clients, and Flügger had sponsored painting to make the colour zones complete.
With a focus on increasing awareness of our products, we had arranged a styling competition, where the press had the opportunity to win great products. Among the prizes were a hand woven throw from Zuzunaga, a pendant from Darø, an alpaca cushion from Skriver Collection, a graphic illustration from Paradisco Productions, a ceramic bowl from Ment and a lamp from Fabbian.
During the day, we served colourful cocktails from Homemade Cocktails and delicious sliders from the food truck The Black Cock. Our goal was to give the press a sensual experience, where they could enjoy the good craftsmanship that characterises our clients’ products with delicious food and drinks.
In sum, it was a really successful press day and we are already looking forward to the next!
On August 13, the Danish interior and design fair, Formland, opened the doors for the entire design industry to meet both exhibitors and visitors.
Among the 500 brands represented on Formland were Skriver Collection and Lampefeber, which both exhibited their latest product news from the upcoming season. Skriver Collection presented new self-coloured mats, which is complementing the existing HotMadi series. Lampefeber introduced their latest brand, Martinelli Luce, along side with news from their other lighting brands.
During the fair, Formland presented inspiring trend zones, seasonal product news and sharp trend talks. At the trend zone “Palm trees” by Eckmann Studio, this season’s ultimate styling statement was presented. The trend has been inspired by the botanical trend for a while now and this tendency is definitely not about to dry up. The urban palm garden craze is without a doubt upon us.
Another trend zone was “Far out into nature” by Fly + Helsted, where plants once again were represented. This time with the twist that the “urban gardening” has evolved into a natural and untamed plant diversity. The colours of this trend is earthy hues, terracotta, grey, green and reddish tones. Materials to be seen are wood, concrete, stone, metals, leather, glass and grasses.
Additionally, “light” is also in focus this season. The light is currently getting inspiration from the Memphis trend of the 1980s with its period colours of yellow, cobalt blue, rose, mint, grass green, black and white. Materials that are used are metals, marble, bright surfaces, glass, stone and concrete.
Once again, it was a great pleasure to visit Formland and overall we enjoyed the inspiring atmosphere of new interior designs and trends.
We look forward to the next Formland fair in February 2016.

As our business and clients grow, we have to adapt to the market. It is therefore our pleasure to announce that we now introduce English as our new corporate language. The change is natural to suit our expanding international clients and followers.
We have already seen great results in the change on our social media platform, Instagram, with 200 new followers since the change. This is a positive direction and we feel confident that the change will generate great results for our clients.
